Our Team and Leadership

The people who turn our mission into daily work — in the office, in the community, and everywhere in between.

Who We Are

A team rooted in the community we serve.

The Mbome Foundation runs on the people behind it — staff who work directly with scholars and families, a board that guides our long-term direction, and volunteers who show up again and again. This page is where we introduce them.

Leadership here doesn't look like a distant office. It looks like people who live in Limbe, who know our scholars by name, and who show up long after the paperwork is done. Below is the team currently steering that work.

Culture

Leadership that shows up, not just signs off.

We don't lead from a distance. Whether it's reviewing a scholar's progress or checking in on a Haven family, our team stays close to the actual work — not just the reports about it.

That means decisions get made by people who've met the students and families they affect, and who measure success the same way we ask everyone else to: by whether it actually changed something.

How We're Organized

More than just an org chart

Everyone involved with The Mbome Foundation falls into one of three groups, all working toward the same goal.

Board of Directors

Sets long-term direction and holds the foundation accountable to its mission.

Staff

Runs the Scholarship Program and Haven Project day to day, working directly with scholars and families.

Volunteers

Mentor, tutor, and support fieldwork — often the same people our programs supported in the first place.
